Your super 5 about questions or points around leaders for your mind to play with. Let go, be free….stretch your mind.

Ever since mankind walked the Earth we have needed leaders. People at the top of the tribe who are responsible for everything from safety to negotiation, law to how to grow and expand the community. We can’t all be a leader, so in this week’s SMT let’s look at leaders and how our minds feel about them.

  1. Leaders began typically as the tribal King and evolved into the top political power head for hundreds of years until today when arguably they are the wealthy business gurus or celebrities that we follow. So, what type of person is best to be a leader of people of all ages?
  2. In history most leaders have been voted in by their citizens, elected to front a government to control their nation. They have been elected to lead but that means they also decide. If that was to change and the people were to decide instead on actions to take or big decisions, how would we decide?
  3. Leaders have tended to be one person, one figurehead that represents US. Let’s change that and make leaders a five person group. What section of society (celebs, workers, business leaders, bankers etc) should that five be made up of….and WHY?
  4. The founder of McDonalds, Ray Kroc said, ‘The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards that they set themselves’. If there were a set list of standards all leaders had to sign and were legally bound by how many would be on it and what would they be?
  5. Finally perhaps the most telling question of all. What should a leader represent? Those who have achieved momentous things like sports stars or those that have become wealthy in business or those that have a certain personality, or only those that inspire young people who will build the future, or simply as now those who we vote for who lead their political party?

Broadly speaking society is US as humans living and working in accepted social, cultural, legal, and belief systems formed into communities and nations. But is society as we know it ripe for change? Or is society itself the problem? Something to ponder as you now go into SuperMind Saturday and look at society.

Ok, that’s your lot. SuperMinds. Get busy thinking about society and what it means and should mean.

Please add your comments or insights about society below, but of course nothing abusive in any form will ever be allowed. Anyway….SuperMinds could never, and would never, do that. Have a great week.

SuperMind Saturday – Questions.

Five thoughts, ideas, insights, or quotes to power up your mind to think differently and creatively about life and the future. Put all previous thinking away and open up a brand new world of the supermind.

Your super 5 about questions for your mind to play with. Let go, be free….stretch your mind.

In modern life everyone wants to speak, to be a voice that is heard, to have their opinion shared and agreed with or followed. This is killing the art of one high quality communication, learning, and understanding – the use of questions. Here at SMT I am bringing that back for SuperMind Saturday.

  1. The greatest shift with questioning begins with self questioning. And so, if you have never done before, answer this question to yourself. Why do you think the way you do?
  2. You have been given the ability to bring all the most powerful leaders of the world into a room to ask them one question for the good of humanity that they must answer. What is the question you would ask them?
  3. Wisdom comes in questions as it forces us to get to the truth or face reality. What is the greatest question you have ever been asked?
  4. The past often haunts us and the people that came with it. To that end you may have a burning question you want to ask someone from back then. But, if they are no longer alive or able to respond then…how are you going to move on so you are happy and not living in old pain, hurt, or confusion anymore?
  5. Kubra Sait said, ‘Asking questions is the first way to begin change’. How can we ask more questions of each other to change the world for the better?

That’s Supermind Saturday for this week. Keep asking yourself these through the week to open up more of your mind to evolve its untapped power. Questioning is good and wise (more so if you listen to the answers!). Consider more, reflect more, think more, activate your connection to your personal mind more.

Supermind Saturday – Communication.

Five thoughts, ideas, insights, or quotes to power up your mind to think differently and creatively about life and the future. Put all previous thinking away and open up a brand new world of the supermind.

Your super 5 about communication for your mind to play with. Let go, be free….stretch your mind.

Communication is at the heart of all we do as humankind, it’s how we connect, evolve, understand, share, love and more. It is what we do everyday but can we begin to communicate in new ways or communicate differently? Let’s ask your supermind.

  1. Modern current day communication is super fast, instant and like lightening delivered across the globe in a blink of an eye. It’s no surprise because we live at breakneck speed, are always on the go, and all at 24 hours a day these days. Think of 5 benefits to all of us of NOT being able to communicate in a millisecond, having to wait a while instead such as half a day.
  2. The Internet is where we find out about the world and all we could want, like, and need. It brings the world closer in the click of a button. But, what if the internet was broken and unfixable or banned. How would we all communicate like we do now?
  3. In recent times, due to social media, communication has become more abusive and even threatening. What one rule should there be around the world in relation to all communication and how would that work?
  4. To help reduce costs and regulate the online world, every second month there will be no social media and the internet will only be available to businesses. How would you communicate with your best friends and loved ones?
  5. Quote: ‘I like people who refuse to speak until they are ready to speak’, Lillian Hellman. In the world today everyone has something to say, we all want our opinion heard. That may be you too. So, ask yourself WHY you speak? (And that’s not a DUH question, look for the reason behind why you speak the ways you do (think emotions!).

Supermind Saturday – Truth

Five thoughts, ideas, insights, or quotes to power up your mind to think differently and creatively about the future and what can be. Put all previous thinking away and open up a brand new world of the supermind.

Your super 5 about truth for your mind to play with. Let go, be free, have fun…...go wild.

Truth is very hard to establish in today’s modern world full of social media, fake accounts and news, ideology, scams, plus photoshop and AI. So….

  1. Where is still the place to go for everyone regardless of belief or age or background seeking absolute truth?
  2. What is the one truth we all could agree on across the world?
  3. How can we teach young children today about truth when it’s so difficult to ascertain?
  4. If you were to set up an international truth standard and organisation, what would it be based upon?
  5. Elvis Presley once said, ‘Truth is like the Sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin’ away’. What is the most obvious truth we are all shutting out?

Supermind Saturday – Work.

Five thoughts, ideas, insights, or quotes to power up your mind to think differently and creatively about the future and what can be. Put all previous thinking away and open up a brand new world of the supermind.

  1. We consider work to be about effort – what if work was simple and enjoyable, what would we all/would you work at?
  2. What if we didn’t need to work – how could we all make money (legally) to be able to live?
  3. Work is directly connected to money – what other one factor could work be linked with to change our whole experience of it?
  4. How could the world survive without work?
  5. Quote about work – ‘Hard work without talent is a shame, but talent without hard work is a tragedy’, Robert Hall. What talent do you have (the simpler and more natural for you, the better) that you have not put any hard work into……or any work at all???

That’s Supermind Saturday for this week.
